KLEIN, TX – The Klein ISD STEAM Express Mobile Classroom is traveling the district with some amazing new technology thanks to a generous donation from Dell Computer.
Earlier this month, Dell Computers donated almost $22,000 in new computers, displays, and 3D Printing hardware to the Klein ISD Education Foundation to benefit the STEAM Express.
“We are thrilled to have this new Dell technology onboard the Klein ISD STEAM Express,” STEAM Express Program Coordinator Bill Nebecker said. “This new technology allows us to provide a whole new level of experiences for the students of Klein ISD.”
The donation, which has given the STEAM Express a complete technology overhaul, included a 43 inch Ultra HD 4K monitor, seven all-in-one PCs, two gaming PCs, two 55 inch touchscreen LED HDTVs, a MakerBot Replicator 3D Printer, and a MakerBot Digitizer.
“Students visiting the STEAM Express are now able to directly manipulate the displays just by touching them,” Nebecker said. “This new technology allows us to provide every student who visits the STEAM Express with a rich, relevant, and clear pathway to success.”
Donated by the Klein ISD Education Foundation to the district for the students of the Klein ISD, the STEAM Express mobile classroom travels the district year-round to teach students about Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.
